It doesn't seem like it, but we have been working on TeamSurv for two years now, and so the EU support through the FP7 R&D grant has now come to an end.
But that doesn't mean that TeamSurv is coming to an end! We are continuing to run the project, and we are now open to loggers from anywhere in the world. We will continue to support new and existing loggers, and also develop the technology further. But, in order to at least cover our costs, we are also looking for routes to commercialise TeamSurv - unfortunately none of us have deep enough pockets to give up the day job and run TeamSurv for the goodwill of all. We are talking to a variety of organisations on the commercialisation side, including chart publishers, chart plotter manufacturers and software publishers, ports and harbour authorities and others. We are also looking at how we can best commercialise the data that we have. However, rest assured that we intend to keep free access to our data for those involved in logging it, as the logging community is essential to the growth of TeamSurv.
Wishing everyone al the best for the new year!
